Hi Guys, hope everyone is enjoying the recent sunshine. The last few days have seen us topping up the tan, fighting for an outside table at the local generic coffee shop and a few cheeky glasses of wine in the garden at the local. People watching as we do I notice plenty of couples out and about doing much the same as me.
So is the sunshine a blessing for online dating or is everyone to busy out and about enjoying the weather to be looking for love on the internet? I guess that is one of the joys of online dating, the sheer ease and convenience of the system leaves you in control and gives you the time to play the singles game when it suits you. I guess the real joy of the sunny weather is the first few dates. We can’t think of anything nicer than a trip out, few drinks, long walk, dinner watching the sunset and a cheeky cuddle as the summer night kicks in…….saying that being wrapped up warm inside plus a random pub with open fire and the love of your life while it’s freezing outside has it’s appeal:)
However I reckon most of us are well and truly done with the rubbish weather this year so onward to summer please and the fun times to be had. So get yourselves online quickly and sort out a few dates, the only thing better than a sunny day out is having someone to share it with. As for me it’s off to the gym, let’s just say I need a bit more work to pull off the shorts this year.

Remains of the Easter eggs and a decent cuppa…………possibly one of our best matches yet:) Things are back to normal following the bank hols and if I’m honest the mere sight of any more egg shaped chocolate might tip me over the edge.
While we still need to get round to writing up a full review of the new features on our own existing dating networks we thought we would add a quick few lines about a new network which we plan to offer. For some time there has been gap between the adult and general relationship sites. Adult sites are on the whole very, well, adult! While we know there are a large number of singles out there looking for some flirty fun with no strings many adult networks only tend to offer this to the extreme and in many cases in a rather overly upfront and pushy manner.
With this in mind we are looking to introduce a casual dating network which offers a fun atmosphere with singles looking for hot easy going dates but leave something to the imagination. Not all of our singles are looking for love but they are looking for a little bit more than a quick tour of the bedroom.

Can you believe it’s the middle of March already?! We are not to sure where the first quarter of 2010 has gone but it has certainly been a busy year for our online singles. Membership sign-ups during this period have been stronger than ever across the whole network both here in the UK and down in South Africa.
There have been a number of new features launched on our dating networks adding more user friendly options making your online dating experience even more enjoyable and hassle free. Well as an online dating company you might expect us to be quite excited about Valentine Day. Well not really, it’s just another day of the year. For us providing a successful online dating experience is not just based around the hype of a few days of the year.
I think as with all things over the last 15 or so years it gone rather commercialised with companies trying to capitalise. It’s a bit like seeing Easter eggs on the shelf in mid January and Christmas crackers on the shelf come September the 1st. I think the anti Valentine movement is clear to see. Quite rightly singles are feed up as are many couples. The rise of Facebook in recent years has some rather comedy groups for the anti Valentine day theme.
We don’t care what day of the year it is. You deserve to meet that special someone, weather it be your life partner or some fun for the weekend. So if you are off out this Sunday have a lovely evening, if not have a lovely evening also:)

We are pleased to confirm Network UK Dating is now part of Facebook and Twitter. We hope this will help us bring even more online dating advice to our current members and help share our content. Whilst we were setting up these pages it got us thinking about the impact of social networking sites on online dating.
In general I think it would be fair to say that most people of a certain age in the UK would have access to a facebook or Twitter account. So with that in mind it’s probably fair to say that there are a few million singles out there looking for love that use social networking sites. While our own online dating sites are in essence social networking sites they are different from the likes of Facebook. Could a more lifestyle sharing approach, i.e. pictures, friends updates work for an online dating site or would that detract from one of the key points of online dating, the fact that you can take things slowly and share what you want about yourself at your own pace. Certainly something to think about in the future.

As we mentioned below the New Year is always a popular time to get yourself online and give dating a try. This year it would seem there have also been a few other factors to take into account when looking at the influx of singles onto our sites. It’s been said that the snow can be held accountable for a further increase during the first half of January.
I guess that makes sense, the snow has certainly kept me home for longer periods than normal and there is only so much telly you can watch. So in general I have been online much more than normal. Which begs the question for the already successful singles in 2010………is the snow to thank for your new date? Now while we may struggle to prove that snow is responsible for finding true love it’s a nice little thought:)
Regardless of the truly amazing cupid like features we have discovered in snow I just wish it would bugger off, I can only fall over so many more times!

Firstly Happy New Year, we hope that you all had a good holiday season. Now this always seems like the hard bit, back to reality and the age old question of ‘What’s your new years resolution?’
For many the New Year really is a new start and people make a serious effort to make the changes they feel are needed in their life. For many this could mean signing up to an online dating site and trying to find a new partner. This is certainly a busy time of year for new signups to our own network of UK dating sites as 1000’s of new members join the network looking to make a fresh start in 2010.

We are proud to announce the launch of our new site Senior UK Dating.
