I have just read the first 2 eBooks written for Network UK Dating by Liz at Glow Coaching and can confirm that as expected, and much in keeping with Liz’s wonderful blog updates, they really are first class.

No matter how many people we speak to about their online dating and relationship experiences we always find new questions and thoughts on the matter. The new eBooks which will be available through the Network UK Dating site will provide a detailed, professional and most importantly very realistic guide to dating and confidence topics.

We really can’t wait for you guys to try them out and see what you think, just a little bit longer and we will upload all the completed details.

This seems like a fitting update given the rather naff weather over the past few weeks and the chilly nights at the moment. We are very excited (although it’s fair to say not looking forward to the work) to be able to tell you about the new layout and designs which should be launched across the network over the next 4 weeks.

We are keeping things simply much in keeping with the current design. Our dating network has always been about clear simply layouts with user friendly features and intuitive design. The new design will bring all the dating sites within the network together allowing for greater user choice.

There should be very limited downtime as the new designs will be updated with a view to cause minimum impact on you guys.

We are pleased to confirm Network UK Dating is now part of Facebook and Twitter. We hope this will help us bring even more online dating advice to our current members and help share our content. Whilst we were setting up these pages it got us thinking about the impact of social networking sites on online dating.

In general I think it would be fair to say that most people of a certain age in the UK would have access to a facebook or Twitter account. So with that in mind it’s probably fair to say that there are a few million singles out there looking for love that use social networking sites. While our own online dating sites are in essence social networking sites they are different from the likes of Facebook. Could a more lifestyle sharing approach, i.e. pictures, friends updates work for an online dating site or would that detract from one of the key points of online dating, the fact that you can take things slowly and share what you want about yourself at your own pace. Certainly something to think about in the future.

So moving forward we hope to get our Facebook page and Twitter site updated with some new content. You can become a fan of either by clicking Facebook or Twitter and share some of your own online dating advice.

As we mentioned below the New Year is always a popular time to get yourself online and give dating a try. This year it would seem there have also been a few other factors to take into account when looking at the influx of singles onto our sites. It’s been said that the snow can be held accountable for a further increase during the first half of January.

I guess that makes sense, the snow has certainly kept me home for longer periods than normal and there is only so much telly you can watch. So in general I have been online much more than normal. Which begs the question for the already successful singles in 2010………is the snow to thank for your new date? Now while we may struggle to prove that snow is responsible for finding true love it’s a nice little thought:)

Regardless of the truly amazing cupid like features we have discovered in snow I just wish it would bugger off, I can only fall over so many more times!
